What is the Community Action Plan?
Community-based organizations (CBOs) have implemented FIM interventions for decades. Faith-based groups, food banks, medically tailored meal providers, and community-engaged health care champions have played key roles in distributing food and advancing research that demonstrates FIM’s impact on health and food security. Successful initiatives often rely on local leaders, staff, and volunteers who understand the communities they serve. To sustain their work, many CBOs have learned to operate amid inconsistent funding and to braid multiple sources into stable budgets.
